not marked as a favorite taxon Isoetes tuckermanii A. Braun. Common name: Tuckerman's Quillwort. Habitat: Shores, freshwater tidal marshes. Distribution: NS south to n. NJ (reports of this species further south are apparently in error).

Taxonomy Comments: A tetraploid species (2n=44), apparently derived from hybridization of I. viridimontana M.A.Rosenthal & W.C.Taylor and an unknown or extinct species, Z (Hoot, Napier, & Taylor 2004), genotype=??ZZ.

Synonymy : = AqW, FNA2, NS, NSProv; = Isoetes tuckermanii A.Braun ssp. tuckermanii — Can, K4, POWO; = n/a — Tat; < Isoetes tuckermanii A.Braun — C, F, G, NY. Basionym: Isoetes tuckermanii A.Braun 1867
