Conradina canescens A. Gray. Common name: Gray Rosemary. Phenology: Jan-May. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, Florida scrub, pine flatwoods, riverine sandbars. Distribution: Panhandle FL and s. AL west to s. MS.
Origin/Endemic status: Endemic
Taxonomy Comments: Less densely hairy populations on riverine sandbars in Santa Rosa County, FL and adjacent AL may warrant taxonomic recognition; additional study is needed. Additionally, C. puberula Small, usually included here, appears to be genetically and morphologically differentiable and may warrant "re-recognition".
