Urena
*Urena Linnaeus. Common name: Caesarweed.
A genus of about 6 species, of tropical and subtropical regions. Perhaps better included in a broadly circumscribed Hibiscus (Pfeil & Crisp 2005); alternatively, Hanes et al. (2024) proposed narrowing Hibiscus to create monophyletic genera, and retaining Urena.
Subfamily: Malvoideae.References: Bayer & Kubitzki (2003) In Kubitzki & Bayer (2003); Hill (2015g) In Flora of North America Editorial Committee (2015). Show full citations.
