Napaea dioica Linnaeus. Common name: Glade-mallow. Phenology: Jun-Aug. Habitat: Floodplains. Distribution: Scattered from MD, OH, IN, IL, sw. WI, and se. MN; disjunct in w. VA. The original distribution of this scarce species has been much debated; see the interesting discussion of this species’ occurrence in VA in Wieboldt et al. (1998).
