Myrcianthes fragrans (Swartz) McVaugh. Common name: Twinberry, Simpson’s Stopper, Pale Stopper, Nakedwood. Phenology: (Jan-) Apr-May (-Dec). Habitat: Hammocks, floodplain forests, coastal berms, bayheads. Distribution: N. peninsular FL (on the east coast from St. Johns County southward) to s. FL; West Indies; Mexico through Central America to n. South America.
