not marked as a favorite taxon Abronia macrocarpa L.A. Galloway. Common name: Large-fruit Sand-verbena. Phenology: Mar-Apr. Habitat: In clearings and post oak woodlands on deep Eocene (Carrizo) sand deposits. Distribution: Endemic to e. TX (Freestone, Leon, and Robertson counties).
