Polygonella americana (Fischer & C.A. Meyer) Small. Common name: Southern Jointweed. Phenology: Jun-Oct; Aug-Nov. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, other dry woodlands, glades, and barrens with sandy or rocky soil. Distribution: Sc. NC south to c. TX, north in the interior to ec. TN, se. MO, and AR; disjunct in Panhandle TX and NM.
