Chiococca alba (Linnaeus) A.S. Hitchcock. Common name: Snowberry, Milkberry, Pissabed, Perlilla, Canica. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Coastal hammocks, shell middens, hammock edges and adjacent habitats. Distribution: N. FL (St. Johns and Dixie counties) south to s. FL; West Indies (including Bahamas and Bermuda); s. TX south through Mexico to Central America.
