Spermacoce ocymoides Burman f.. Phenology: Jul-Sep. Habitat: Wet pine flatwoods, floodplain forests. Distribution: FL, AL, MS, south through the New World tropics.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: I follow Ward (2011a) in provisionally accepting S. ocymoides as the correct name for our plant, until a more definitive rationale for its rejection in favor of S. prostrata is made.

Synonymy : = Ward (2011b), (basionym); = Borreria ocimoides (Burm.f.) DC. — Bah, S; ? Spermacoce prostrata Aubl. — Fl5, K4, WH3, Florentin, Florentin, & Salas (2020)
