Spermacoce tenuior Linnaeus. Phenology: Sep-Jan. Habitat: In clay soils along creeks. Distribution: S. TX south through Mexico and Central America to South America. Reported from sw. GA and MS (Kartesz 1999, 2010) {IDs need checking; seems a bit unlikely}.

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics

Synonymy : = Meso4.2, S, Tx, Ward (2011b); < Spermacoce riparia Cham. & Schltdl. — Bacigalupo (1972)
