Exostema (Persoon) Bonpland. Common name: Persoon) Bonpland.
A genus of about 8 species, shrubs, as more narrowly delimited by Paudyal et al. (2018), of the Caribbean region. The single species in our region is in Exostema sensu stricto (in the sense of Paudyal et al 2018), or in Exostema sect. Exostema, in the broader treatment of the genus by Greuter & Rodríguex 2021).
