Stems: Stems subtly 4-angled, branched in inflorescence, with a few short branches from nodes, and hairy.

Leaves: Leaves in whorls of 6-12, sessile, linear and sharp-tipped, to 1 1/2 in. long, margins rolled downward, hairy.

Flowers: Flowers in a large, dense, pyramidal panicle, pale to golden yellow, 1/8 in. wide, consisting of 4 corolla lobes with pointed or blunt tips.
