Salix bebbiana Sargent. Common name: Long-beaked Willow, Gray Willow. Phenology: Late Apr-May; late May-Jun. Habitat: Upland and wetland thickets, bogs. Distribution: NL west to AK, south to NJ, PA, OH, IN, IL, IA, w. NE, NM, AZ, and n. CA; ne. Asia. Widespread and rather common in PA (Rhoads & Klein 1993; Rhoads & Block 2007) and also occurs in MD (Argus 1986) and NJ.
