not marked as a favorite taxon Selaginella eclipes W.R. Buck. Common name: Hidden Spikemoss. Phenology: Jun-Oct. Habitat: Moist, calcareous areas. Distribution: W. Connecticut, w. Massachusetts, New York, and Ontario west to Wisconsin and Iowa, south to s. Ohio, nc. Kentucky, ne. Tennessee, se. Tennessee, nw. Georgia, s. Indiana., s. Illinois, and c. Arkansas. Found in ne. Tennessee in 2021 by Mason Brock. Because of superficial similarity to L. apodum, perhaps to be found in additional areas.
