Viola chalcosperma Brainerd. Section: Nosphinium. Subsection: Borealiamericanae. Common name: Jacksonville Violet. Habitat: Moist soils bordering swamps. Distribution: Jacksonville, FL (type locality); may be more widespread in ne. FL than the type locality suggests.

Taxonomy Comments: Long subsumed under V. edulis but distinct in foliage, floral, fruit and seed features.
