Carex grisea Wahlenberg. Section: [26ee] Section 22 Griseae. Common name: Inflated Narrowleaf Sedge. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Well-drained floodplain forests, other mesic to dry-mesic forests, especially over base-rich substrates. Distribution: NB west to MN and SD, south to VA, TN, MS, LA, and TX. {habitats, distribution and abundance in our area needing additional herbarium investigation}
