Carex oligocarpa Schkuhr ex Willdenow. Section: [26ee] Section 22 Griseae. Common name: Eastern Few-fruited Sedge. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Rich forests, over calcareous or mafic rocks. Distribution: MA west to MN, south to FL and TX. C. oligocarpa sensu stricto is in SC (P. McMillan, pers. comm., specimen at CLEMS).
