Carex bushii Mackenzie. Section: [26ii] Section 24 Porocystis. Common name: Bush’s Sedge. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Moist to wet (rarely dry) prairies, meadows, fields, and alluvial areas, usually in moderately to strongly base-rich soils. Distribution: MA and s. NY west to MO and KS, south to NC, sw. NC (Bradley et al. [in prep.]), GA (Jones & Coile 1988), MS, and TX; disjunct in MI.
