*Carex leporina Linnaeus. Common name: Egg-bracted Sedge. Phenology: Jun-Aug. Habitat: Grassy balds, disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Eurasia, and the west coast of North America. Known to range in North America from Newfoundland and Labrador (Newfoundland) and New York south to w. North Carolina and ne. Tennessee.
