Carex fumosimontana D. Estes. Common name: Smoky Mountain Sedge. Phenology: Jun-Jul; Jul-Aug. Habitat: Seepages at high elevations. Distribution: Endemic to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Cocke and Sevier counties, TN, Swain County, NC), specifically Clingmans Dome, Mount LeConte, and Mount Guyot.
