*Abies alba P. Miller. Section: Abies. Common name: European Fir, Silver Fir. Phenology: May; Oct. Habitat: Naturalized in Highlands, NC (Macon Co.), from plantings made by Thomas G. Harbison in the late 1800's (J.D. Pittillo, pers. comm.). Distribution: Native of Europe.
