Amelanchier sanguinea (Pursh) A.P. de Candolle. Common name: Roundleaf Serviceberry, New England Serviceberry. Phenology: Apr-May; May-Jun. Habitat: Dry, rocky woodlands and outcrops, especially over mafic or calcareous rocks. Distribution: ME west to MN, south to w. NC, TN, n. AL, and IA.
