*Aralia elata (Miquel) Seemann. Japanese Angelica-tree. Phen: Late Jul-Aug; Aug-Sep. Hab: Suburban woodlands. Dist: Native of Japan. Naturalizing in ne. North America at least as far south as NJ, DE, se. PA, MD, DC, and n. VA. See Moore, Glenn, & Ma (2009) for detailed information on this alien species and its naturalization in the northeastern United States.
