Taxonomy Comments: Recognition of this taxon has been controversial, and its general synonymization makes information about it and its distribution and ecology uncertain. Wyatt & Stoneburner (2022) accept this taxon as 'good' at species rank.

Other Comments: This taxon is diploid (2n=28).
