Asplenium verecundum Chapman ex E. Fournier. Common name: Modest Spleenwort, Delicate Spleenwort. Habitat: Moist limestone outcrops, grottoes, and sinkholes. Distribution: Endemic to FL, from n. and Panhandle FL (Columbia, Jackson, Liberty, Taylor counties) southward (Wunderlin & Hansen 2004); Cuba.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Possibly better treated as the northern component of the West Indian/s. Mexican/Central American/South American A. myriophyllum. Its chromosome formula is VVVV.
