Distribution: Endemic to FL, from n. and Panhandle FL (Columbia, Jackson, Liberty, Taylor counties) southward (Wunderlin & Hansen 2004); Cuba.

Taxonomy Comments: Possibly better treated as the northern component of the West Indian/s. Mexican/Central American/South American A. myriophyllum. Its chromosome formula is VVVV.
