Cardamine species 1. Common name: Ouachita Toothwort. Habitat: Mesic forests, especially stream terraces and slopes over novaculite but also shale in the Athens Plateau. Distribution: Endemic to Ouachita Mountains.

Taxonomy Comments: Not most closely related to C. angustata and needing elevation to species status (Witsell, pers. comm., 2017).
