Carex hirsutella Mackenzie. Common name: Hairy-leaved Sedge, Fuzzy Sedge. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Dry-mesic oak-hickory forests, other mesic to dry forests, woodlands, and barrens. Distribution: ME, s. ON, and IA, south to GA and ne. TX.
