not marked as a favorite taxon Carex striatula Michaux. Common name: Lined Sedge. Phenology: Apr-Jun. Habitat: Bottomland and other nutrient-rich forests. Distribution: CT, se. NY, PA, s. OH, and w. KY south to n. FL, Panhandle FL, and s. MS. Former attribution of a wider distribution to the west (west of the Mississippi River) represents Carex ignota.
