not marked as a favorite taxon Carex vesicaria Linnaeus. Common name: Inflated Sedge. Phenology: May-Aug. Habitat: Bogs, spring marshes, depression ponds, mafic fens. Distribution: Circumboreal, ranging south in North America to DE, w. VA, nw. NC, KY, IN, MO, NM, and CA.
