Cirsium lecontei Torrey & A. Gray. Common name: LeConte's Thistle. Phenology: Jun-Aug. Habitat: Wet loamy pine savannas, seepage bogs. Distribution: E. NC south to Panhandle FL, west to LA.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Synonymy : = Fl7, FNA19, GW2, K4, POWO, S, SE1, WH3; = Carduus lecontei (Torr. & A.Gray) Pollard — RAB. Basionym: Cirsium lecontei Torr. & A.Gray 1843
