Cyperus echinatus (Linnaeus) Alph. Wood. Common name: Round-headed Flatsedge, Globe Flatsedge. Phenology: Jul-Sep. Habitat: Sandy woodlands, forests, fields, thin soils on outcrops, sand and gravel bars. Distribution: CT and NY west to s. OH, IL, and se. KS, south to n. FL, TX, and ne. Mexico.
