Cyperus grayi Torrey. Common name: Gray’s Flatsedge. Phenology: Jul-Sep. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, dunes, other dry soils. Distribution: NH south to GA and Panhandle FL (Liberty County) (Sorrie & LeBlond 2008). Reports in the Piedmont and Mountains of NC, SC, GA, and AL appear to all be false reports.
