Cyperus lupulinus (Sprengel) Marcks var. lupulinus. Common name: Great Plains Flatsedge. Phenology: Jul-Sep. Habitat: Dry sterile soils in fields and meadows. Distribution: MA and VT west to MN, south to NC, n. SC, TX; disjunct in ID, WA, and OR.
