Cyperus neotropicalis Alain. Common name: American Lipocarpha, American Halfchaff. Phenology: Jul-Sep. Habitat: Riverine sandbars, depression ponds, interdune swales and ponds, borrow pits, impoundment shores, ditches, other moist exposed soil. Distribution: Se. VA south to s. FL, west to AL.
