*Cyperus oxylepis Nees ex Steudel. Common name: Sharp-scale Flatsedge. Phenology: Jun-Nov. Habitat: Disturbed wet areas, marshes, saline areas. Distribution: Native of South America.
ID notes: Forms with relatively short spikelets may be mistaken for C. elegans; see comments under that species.
Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics
