Hab: Hammocks, on limestone around sinkhole margins and on boulders.., rarely on tree roots or lower trunks. Dist: Endemic to peninsular FL (Sumter and Miami-Dade counties).

Taxonomy Comments: Three additional subspecies were recognized (in Trichomanes) by Wessels Boer (1962); one in the Lesser Antilles and two in continental Central and South America.
