Didymoglossum punctatum (Poiret) Desvaux ssp. floridanum (Wessels Boer) Weakley & G.D. Gann. Common name: Florida Bristle-fern, Florida Filmy-fern. Phenology: Apr-Jul. Habitat: Hammocks, on limestone around sinkhole margins and on boulders, rarely on tree roots or lower trunks. Distribution: Endemic to peninsular FL (Sumter and Miami-Dade counties).

Taxonomy Comments: Three additional subspecies were recognized (in Trichomanes) by Wessels Boer (1962); one in the Lesser Antilles and two in continental Central and South America.
