Didymoglossum punctatum (Poiret) Desvaux ssp. floridanum (Wessels Boer) Weakley & Gann. Florida Bristle-fern, Florida Filmy-fern. Phen: Apr-Jul. Hab: Hammocks, on limestone around sinkhole margins and on boulders.., rarely on tree roots or lower trunks. Dist: Endemic to peninsular FL (Sumter and Miami-Dade counties).

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Three additional subspecies were recognized (in Trichomanes) by Wessels Boer (1962); one in the Lesser Antilles and two in continental Central and South America.

Synonymy : = K4, Gann & Weakley (2017) in Weakley et al (2017); = Trichomanes punctatum Poir. ssp. floridanum Wess.Boer – Fl1, FNA2, K3, WH3, Wessels Boer (1962); < Didymoglossum punctatum (Poir.) Desv. – Ebihara et al (2006); < Trichomanes punctatum Poir. – SFla; >< Trichomanes punctatum Poir. – Sf; > Trichomanes sphenoides Kunze – S13, Sf, misapplied
