*Dioscorea alata Linnaeus. Section: Enantiophyllum. Common name: White Yam, Great Yam. Habitat: Disturbed areas, in moist soils. Distribution: Native of se. Asia. Reported for Lowndes County, GA (Carter, Baker, & Morris 2009) and for Baldwin County, AL (Barger et al. 2019).
