Echinocereus enneacanthus Engelmann ssp. carnosus (Rümpler) M.H.J. van der Meer. Common name: Strawberry Cactus, Pitaya. Phenology: Apr-Jul; Jul-Sep. Habitat: Oak savannas, thornscrub. Distribution: S. and w. TX south to Mexico (TAM, COA, NLE).
