Elodea canadensis Michaux. Common name: Common Waterweed. Phenology: Jul-Sep. Habitat: Rivers, lakes, ponds, stagnant waters of streams. Distribution: QC west to SK, south to NC, Panhandle FL, n. AR, OK, NM, and CA, the southern distribution perhaps only introduced.
