Erigeron pusillus Nuttall. Common name: Southern Horseweed. Phenology: (May-) Jul-Dec. Habitat: Dunes, brackish marsh edges, coastal sand flats, sand prairies, old fields, disturbed areas, barrens and glades. Distribution: Se. MA and CT west to s. IN, south to FL and TX, and south into tropical America.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Cronquist (1980) considered this and Erigeron canadensis as "well-marked varieties".
