Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Var. parviflora (A. Gray) Nesom is more widespread and mostly more western, Panhandle TX, and w. OK west to CA, south to w. TX and Mexico.

Synonymy : = Nesom (2009e); < Forestiera pubescens Nutt. – GrPl, K3, K4; > Forestiera pubescens Nutt. var. glabrifolia Shinners – NcTx, Tx, Johnston (1957); > Forestiera pubescens Nutt. var. pubescens – Tx, Johnston (1957)
