*Galium pedemontanum (Bellardi) Allioni. Common name: Piedmont Bedstraw, Piedmont Crosswort. Phenology: Apr-Jul. Habitat: Lawns, grassy roadsides, pastures. Distribution: Native of s. Europe. In GA Mountains and Piedmont (T. Govus, pers. comm. 2005). Reported for DE and MD by Longbottom, Naczi, & Knapp (2016).
Origin/Endemic status: Mediterranean Europe and Africa
