Hexastylis speciosa R.M. Harper. Common name: Alabama Heartleaf, Alabama Ginger. Phenology: Apr-May. Habitat: Shaded forests along streams and bogs. Distribution: Endemic to a small area in central AL (Autauga, Chilton, and Elmore counties, north of Montgomery).
