Hexastylis naniflora Blomquist. Dwarf-flower Heartleaf. Phen: Mar-Jun. Hab: In mesic to dry, acidic, sandy loam on bluffs, ravines, slopes, and ridges in deciduous forests, frequently associated with Kalmia latifolia. Dist: Endemic to the upper Piedmont of s. NC and n. SC.
