Glossary (beta!)

Section: Hypericum.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Robson (2006) interpreted this as a hybrid of H. graveolens and H. punctatum but offered no evidence other than its general morphological intermediacy. It also has a wider distribution than one of its alleged parents, H. graveolens, and thus is acting as an independent evolutionary entity, regardless of its origin.

Synonymy : = C, F, G, GW2, K4, NS, RAB, S, Tn, Va, W, WV, Adams (1973); = Hypericum ×mitchellianum Rydb. (pro sp.) — FNA6, POWO, Robson (2006); < Hypericum graveolens Buckley — S13. Basionym: Hypericum mitchellianum Rydb. 1927
