Taxonomy Comments: This taxon appears to be distinct morphologically and geographically from K. elegans, and warrants recognition at the species level. Becoming popular horticulturally, and producing abundant seedlings near the planted specimens; potentially invasive, and becoming established in various areas in the Deep South.
