Lemna minor Linnaeus. Common name: Common Duckweed. Habitat: Still to slowly moving waters of ponds, lakes, beaver ponds, and swamps. Distribution: Widespread in the Northern Hemisphere; scattered in the Southern Hemisphere, where perhaps in part introduced.
