*Liquidambar formosana Hance. Common name: Chinese Sweetgum. Phenology: Apr-May. Habitat: Suburban woodlands, escaping from horticultural use. Distribution: Native of China, Taiwan, s. Korea, Laos, and n. Vietnam. Naturalizing in our region at least in NC (Orange County) and MS (Harrison County; H. Horne, pers.comm. 2020).

Origin/Endemic status: E. and se. Asia
