Micranthes forbesii (Vasey) Bush. Section: Micranthes. Forbes's Saxifrage. Phen: May; June Hab: Moist shaded sandstone cliffs, especially north-facing and often in seasonal seepage. Dist: Sw. WI, se. MN, and e. IA south to s. IL and se. MO.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Based on morphology and habitat, M. forbesii appears to be a 'good taxon' at some rank and readily separable from M. pensylvanica; it needs additional study.
