*Mirabilis jalapa Linnaeus var. jalapa . Garden Four-o’clock, Marvel-of-Peru, Morning-rose. Phen: Jun-Nov (-May). Hab: Disturbed areas, or persistent at former garden sites. Dist: Native of tropical America.

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics

Taxonomy Comments: A second variety is not known from our area.
